Pakistani bodybuilders have won three medals in the 54th Asian Bodybuilding Championships currently taking place in the Maldives. The Pakistan team has won a gold, silver, and bronze medal in different categories.
Shehzad Qureshi won a gold medal in the masterclass 80kg+ category by defeating Uzbek and Indian bodybuilders in the competition. Pakistan’s Fazal Elahi came in sixth in this particular category.
In the model physique category, Pakistan’s Arslan Baig won a bronze medal while Maldives’ Azneen Rashid won the gold medal in the category. Pakistan’s Muddasir Khan came in fifth in the model physique category.
Bodybuilder Umar Shehzad won a silver medal in the junior 70kg+ category while India’s Suresh Bala Kumar took home the gold. Furthermore, Mohammad Azeem finished in sixth place in the masterclass 70kg+ category.
The 54th Asian Bodybuilding Championships will come to a close on 21st July, with a number of events to be contested in the coming days. Our Pakistani bodybuilders are looking to build on their strong performance in the competition and bring home more medals for the nation.
