Wafaq ul Madaris, a Madrassa in Pakistan, has accomplished an incredible feat by creating over 1 million Hafiz e Qurans worldwide. One million pupils have successfully completed the memorization of the Holy Quran since the inception of an exam in 1982 by Wafaq ul Madaris.
Over 78,000 pupils, including 14,000 female students, became Hafiz e Quran in 2019. The Madrassa accepts children as young as four years old, and they memorize the Holy Quran in just two years. Students at this Pakistani Madrassa receive primary education in areas such as English, Urdu, Mathematics, Pakistan Studies, Science, and Quran memorization.
Qari Hafeez Jalandhari, a spokesperson of Wafaq ul Madaris, compared the annual production of Hafiz e Quran in Pakistan to that of Saudi Arabia. He highlighted that, while Arabic is not the national language of Pakistan, more children in Pakistan memorize the Quran than in Saudi Arabia. He emphasised that Saudi Arabia only produces 5,000 Hafiz e Quran each year.
Furthermore, Qari Hafeez Jalandhari stated that the efforts of Wafaq ul Madaris have been recognized by the Saudi government, which has lauded and awarded the Madrassa.
