Using ticket number 1890, a Pakistani named Abdul Ahad won $1 million in the Millennium Millionaire Series 420. He bought the ticket online on April 3.
The 42-year-old, who is based in Bahrain’s capital of Manama, was shocked to learn of his Wednesday jackpot win. Ahad began purchasing tickets for the Dubai Duty-Free campaign last year. He is an administrator for a restaurant.
“Thank you so much Dubai Duty-Free! This will definitely change my life,” he said as he became the 24th Pakistani national to have won $1 million since the start of the promotion.
In addition, a 66-year-old Saudi Arabian resident of Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, also won $1 million with ticket 3516 in Millennium Millionaire Series 419. On March 27, Salem A. bought the ticket online.
The 66-year-old Saudi national is a retired IT consultant and the father of 10 children. Commenting on the victory, he said that words could not adequately express his emotions but that he wanted to express his sincere gratitude to Dubai Duty-Free.
Salem is the 11th Saudi national to have won $1 million since the start of the Millennium Millionaire promotion in 1999.
