Following concerns related to a fever outbreak, almost all of the players on the Pakistan cricket team were observed practicing in Bangalore as they prepare for their upcoming World Cup match against Australia on October 20. Notably, Muhammad Haris was the exception, as he was advised to rest due to his own fever.
Despite these health setbacks, the other players who had fallen ill previously were back on the field, training with great intensity. A day prior, six players from the Pakistan team had opted to skip the optional training session at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Among the six players who didn’t take part in the recent training session were Abdullah Shafique, Mohammad Rizwan, Shaheen Afridi, and Salman Ali Agha, along with traveling reserves Zaman Khan and Mohammad Haris.
It’s worth noting that Shafique had been grappling with a fever, while both Shaheen and Usama Mir had experienced fever symptoms, though they had since recovered. The team’s health protocol ensured that any players displaying fever symptoms were promptly checked. Furthermore, all players were tested for COVID-19 and screened for symptoms related to dengue fever, adhering to safety measures.
Fortunately, there is no cause for alarm regarding the health of the players in the Pakistan team, as confirmed by team sources. Up to this point in the event, Pakistan has secured two victories out of three matches, with their lone defeat coming against their arch-rivals, India, in a match held on Saturday.
