The Pakistani rupee on Tuesday gained 68 Paisa against the US dollar in the interbank market.
According to state bank, the local currency closed at Rs219.73 per dollar, an appreciation of 68 paisa or 0.31 per cent over yesterday’s close of Rs220.41.
Analysts attributed this change to expected inflows of $1.5 billion after Pakistan signed a loan agreement with the ADB for budgetary support and help in flood-related rehabilitation and reconstruction activities.
