The Pakistani trade mission in Riyadh announced on Friday that Pakistani technology companies and startups will take part in the 2nd LEAP exhibition, which will be held in the Saudi capital of Riyadh from February 6 through February 9, to showcase their cutting-edge products and solutions for leading international information technology and telecommunications-related companies.
The LEAP exhibition is a global tech event that offers a platform for bringing together the best minds in the tech industry from around the world to find new ideas, form partnerships, and make connections with motivational mentors and investors to unlock the limitless potential of technology for a bright future.
The top 18 Pakistani tech companies and 10 startups will be showcasing cutting-edge solutions at the 2nd LEAP edition in Saudi Arabia thanks to the close cooperation of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and Pakistan Software Housing Association (P@SHA).
“These services include, but are not limited to artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of things (IoT), Blockchain & crypto, Robotics, 3D printing, Space and Satellites Biotech, Quantum, Fintech, 5G, Open source, unmanned systems, and Data services,” the Pakistani trade mission said in a statement.
“The effort is concentrated toward representing Pakistan as a Tech Destination and shining the light on IT export potential of Pakistan.”
The IT sector in Pakistan has been expanding rapidly in recent years and is expected to rise by a flattering 77 percent in 2022. According to the statement, from the fiscal year 2019 to the fiscal year 2022, the nation’s IT exports increased by 150 percent.
In just FY 2022, Pakistan’s IT exports generated $2.6 billion. No other sector of the economy in Pakistan has seen such rapid development in exports during the past few years.
Pakistan is a fast-emerging IT hub and a tech destination in the world because of its 600,000 IT workers, 60+ data centers and tech parks, and booming freelance force. These factors together demonstrate Pakistan’s enormous export potential.
Pakistan is a financially appealing place for offshore outsourcing services and one of the largest providers of online labor in the technology and software development industries. Investment opportunities in the nation’s IT sector include startups in the fields of AI, blockchain, AR/VR, gaming, and animation, as well as tech incubators and software development facilities.
All Pakistani delegations to LEAP 2023, according to the Pakistani trade mission in Riyadh, will be assisted. According to the statement, “Azhar Ali Dahar, Minister of Trade and Investment, has organized a series of business engagements and B2B sessions of visiting Pakistani delegates with Riyadh Chambers, Saudi Federation of Chambers, and all main leading Saudi IT Companies in B2B session for enhanced networking.”
“LEAP Riyadh is a perfectly timed chance for Pakistan to promote its IT/Telco companies on an international trade platform and increase business in the Middle East market, notably in Saudi Arabia, which is under transition through adopting Vision 2030,” says a representative of Pakistan.
To boost their market share in the IT industry, the mission asked Pakistani enterprises to take part in all LEAP events in the upcoming years.
