Abdul Aahad, a promising young talent from Pakistan, made headlines by clinching the trophy in the U15 category of the 16th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) International Squash Championship held in Karachi.

Competing at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan (PN RKJK) Squash Complex, Aahad delivered a dominant performance in the final, defeating Kamran Khan with a score of 3-0 to secure the top prize in the U15 event.

Hailing from Karachi and just 14 years old, Aahad aims to bring further glory to Pakistan on the international stage in the future. Expressing gratitude for his success, he dedicated his victory to his parents, friends, and supporters who have stood by him throughout his journey. Aahad also thanked his main sponsor, Pakistan Navy, for their steadfast support in his athletic endeavors.

Following his triumph in Karachi, Aahad now sets his sights on upcoming national tournaments in Peshawar and Lahore, eager to continue his winning streak.

In the championship’s main event, Mohamed Zakaria of Egypt emerged victorious, overcoming Nasir Iqbal with a score of 3-1 in the final. Despite a strong start from Nasir, who claimed the first game 13-11, Zakaria staged a remarkable comeback, winning three consecutive games to clinch the match.

Zakaria’s impressive performance earned him not only the championship trophy but also a prize of $3,850, while Nasir Iqbal, the runner-up, received $1,938 in prize money.

The final match was graced by the presence of Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who served as the guest of honor. Admiral Ashraf underscored the Pakistan Navy’s commitment not only to national defense but also to the promotion of sports. He lauded the tournament as a testament to the Navy’s efforts in fostering athletic talent and community engagement.

The CNS International Squash Championship commenced on May 8th, culminating in the thrilling final held on May 12th, Sunday.
