Pakistan’s Amin Mukaty delivered an outstanding performance at the 2024 Bank of America Chicago Marathon, completing the race in an impressive time of 2 hours and 44 minutes, setting a new personal best.
Mukaty was among 50,000 runners from across the globe who competed in the prestigious 42-kilometer marathon, showcasing his athletic growth by significantly improving his previous record.
In the elite men’s race, Kenya’s John Korir, 27, claimed victory with a remarkable personal best of 2 hours, 2 minutes, and 44 seconds. His win came as runners paid tribute to the late Kelvin Kiptum. Korir finished ahead of Ethiopia’s Mohamed Esa (2:04:39) and fellow Kenyan Amos Kipruto (2:04:50), securing his first major marathon title.
