Arslan Ash, Pakistan’s best Tekken player, won the Tekken World Tour Finals 2023 (TWT 23) on Sunday in New Orleans, United States, with an outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
Arslan defeated CherryBerryMango (CBM) in the final 3-1 with a dominant performance that secured him the title.
Arslan, often regarded as the Tekken’s Greatest of All Time (GOAT), began his top-eight campaign with a 2-1 win over LowHigh in the winners’ semi-final to advance to the winners’ final.
Arslan’s hardest opponent in the winners’ final was Ulsan, whom the Pakistani defeated in a five-game fight that he won 3-2.
Arslan, already a four-time EVO champion, secured another impressive victory at the TWT 23 final by defeating CBM in the ultimate test of the night. With previous wins at Evo Japan and Evo Vegas, this triumph marked Arslan’s completion of a treble in 2023.
In August, he had become a four-time EVO champion after winning the title in Las Vegas. The 27-year-old demonstrated his exceptional skills by defeating Japan’s AO 3-0 in the grand final, solidifying his status as the only player to win the prestigious Tekken 7 event four times.
Widely regarded as the greatest Tekken player, Arslan was named the best E-Player of 2019 by ESPN and has also claimed titles like CEO 2021 Champion and the 2022 Combo Breaker Tekken 7 tournament winner.
