Babar Masih, a Pakistani cueist, earned the bronze medal at the 2022 World Amateur Snooker Championship in Turkey.
Masih was unable to advance to the championship’s final round after losing to Japan’s Lim Kok Leong by a score of 5-3 in Antalya.
The Pakistani player beat Brijesh Damani of India earlier this week to get to the semifinal round. The Pakistani player finished the match with a 4-1 victory after winning four frames to the Indian cueist one.
Ahsan Ramazan and Mohammad Sajjad were eliminated from the title when their pre-quarterfinal matches ended in losses.
Last year in September, Pakistan’s top cueist won the silver media at the IBSF 6-Red World Cup held in Qatar’s capital. He faced Indian player Pankaj Advani in the final round where he lost the match to his rival after the neck-to-neck competition. Advani defeated Masih in 7-5 frames.
