Pakistan’s first ACCA-qualified transgender Sana Khan has made history after getting a job as Finance Manager following the completion of her studies.
Sana Khan, a transgender citizen of Multan, has overcome obstacles despite facing several difficulties, including being abandoned by her family. She finished her ACCA and is now working as a finance manager.
Sana Khan has emerged as an example for others like her, demonstrating that despite obstacles, a person’s enthusiasm for something may propel them forward. It is well known that the transgender population has long been subjected to societal neglect and nonacceptance.
She graduated from a public high school, continued her education in finance, earned an ACCA certification, and eventually graduated from Oxford Brooks University with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting.
She became Pakistan’s first qualified transgender ACCA member thanks to her passion and interest in finance. Sana is currently employed for a private company as a financial manager.
Speaking to the media, Sana Khan claimed that her siblings were reluctant to accept her as a member of the family and even went as far as to put pressure on her to leave the house.
She wants the transgender community to know that instead of pursuing dishonorable employment, those who identify as transgender should pursue an education in order to secure a respectable livelihood for themselves.
Sana’s story serves as inspiration for the transgender community and spreads the idea that one must establish their own sense of self-worth.
