Due to the three medals the wrestlers won, Pakistan’s total number of medals at the Commonwealth Games 2022 increased to five.

Zaman Anwar, Inam Butt, and Inayatullah, Pakistan’s wrestlers, brought happiness to Pakistanis’ faces on Friday by winning medals.

Inayatullah defeated Ross Connelly of Scotland to win the bronze medal for his nation in the Men’s Free Style 65 kg Wrestling competition.

After three minutes and 59 seconds, he claimed victory via technical superiority.

Second, in the Men’s Freestyle 86kg category, top wrestler Inam Butt earned a Silver medal despite losing to Indian rival Punia in the final.

Zaman Anwar of Pakistan won the silver medal in the Men’s Freestyle 125 kg final, earning him the third medal. After a fierce bout, he was defeated by Amarveer Dhesi of Canada by a score of 2-9.

Nooh Dastagir Butt, a weightlifter from Pakistan, earned the gold medal earlier this week with a record-breaking lift of 405 kg for the Commonwealth. The people of his nation, especially Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, were quite complimentary of Butt.

Pakistan’s first medal came from judoka Shah Hussain Shah who bagged the Bronze medal earlier this week. He outperformed his South African opponent in the 90kg category – his first ever 90kg event as he always played in the 100kg category.
