Pakistani weightlifting sensation Nooh Dastgir Butt made a stunning debut in powerlifting, claiming the Commonwealth Champion title in the 120kg category at the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship (CPC). Butt’s impressive performance saw him secure three gold medals and one bronze in his first-ever powerlifting competition, lifting a remarkable total of 860kg in the open category to bring the championship title home.
Butt’s dominance extended across individual events, where he lifted 370kg in the squat to clinch a gold medal and added another gold with a 210kg lift in the bench press. He also earned a bronze medal in the deadlift category by lifting 280kg.
