Pakistani squash player Muhammad Rayyan Zaman triumphed in the Under-9 category at the 16th Redtone International Junior Squash Championship 2024, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from December 3 to 8.
Zaman, the grandson of squash legend Qamar Zaman and son of Mansoor Zaman, dominated the final against Malaysia’s Sai Nideesh, winning 11/7, 11/5, and 11/7 to claim the prestigious title. His victory marks a significant achievement in his young career and highlights his potential as a future top-ranked squash player.
The tournament, organized by the Asian Squash Federation, brought together some of the best junior players from across Asia. Zaman’s success reflects not only his talent but also the dedication and support from his coaches, trainers, and family.
This win adds to Pakistan’s squash legacy, following recent victories such as that of Group Captain (retired) Irfan Asghar, who won the 6th Asian Master Squash Championship in September 2024.
