Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves reached US$ 13,097.8 million as of February 16, 2024, with the State Bank holding $8,012.8 million in foreign reserves.
According to a statement released by the State Bank of Pakistan on Thursday, the central bank’s foreign exchange reserves decreased by $44 million to $8,012.8 million during the week. This decline was attributed to debt repayments made during the period.
Additionally, the net foreign reserves held by commercial banks amounted to $5,085 million.
In comparison, the country’s total liquid foreign reserves in the preceding week, ending on February 9, 2024, were recorded at $13,149.1 million. At that time, the State Bank held $8,056.5 million in foreign reserves, while commercial banks held net reserves of $5,092.6 million.
