The Pakistan Army’s 147th Long Course passing-out parade took place today at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, according to the military media wing.
The passing-out parade of cadets from the 147th Long Course, 66th Integrated Course, 13th Mujahid Course, 6th Basic Military Training Course, and 21st Lady Cadet Course was held, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations release.
General Syed Asim Munir, the primary of Army Staff (COAS), was the primary guest at the event.
Among the Passed-Out Cadets were those from Palestine, Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar, and Sri Lanka.
COAS Asim Munir reviewed the parade and presented medals to deserving cadets. Academy Senior Under Officer Abdullah Bin Tariq received the coveted Sword of Honour, and Battalion Senior Under Officer Ali Amir of the 147th PMA Long Course received the President’s, Gold Medal.
Battalion Sports Sergeant Pasindu Dayananda of Sri Lanka received the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Overseas Gold Medal. Course Under Officer Muhammad Adnan Munawar of the 13th Mujahid Course received the COAS Cane.
Course Under Officer Adil Ali of the 66th Integrated Course, Course Sergeant Major Fatima Khalid of the 21st Lady Cadet Course, and Course Under Officer Salman Khan of the 6th Basic Military Training Course received Commandant’s Canes, according to ISPR.
Army Chief congratulated the passing out cadets and their parents on the successful completion of their training at PMA; the premier training institution.
