LAHORE, Pakistan — Because of the country’s deteriorating economic situation, the Pakistan Business Forum (PBF) has begun a national debate with economists, investors, industrialists, business people, and intellectuals throughout the country to establish a common plan.
The goal of this exercise is to develop a comprehensive and workable policy based on the input of all relevant stakeholders.
On the occasion of the launch of the dialogue, Muhammad Ejaz Tanveer, President of Pakistan Business Forum Lahore and Chairman of Retailer Pakistan, said that this policy would be known as “Meesaq e Muaeeshat,” and that the government would be urged to consider recommendations when formulating official economic policy to effectively address the country’s issues.
We think that realizing the objective of national economic sovereignty is a shared duty for all of us and that we must all work together to accomplish this goal, according to Ejaz.
