The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finally revealed the 15-member squad for the next ICC World Cup 2023 in a long-awaited announcement.
The release of Pakistan’s squad was delayed unexpectedly due to team management meetings following a humiliating loss from the Asia Cup and severe bowling injuries sustained during the event.
On Wednesday, the cricket board met with the national coaching staff led by Mickey Arthur, captain Babar Azam, vice-captain Shadab Khan, and former captains Misbah ul Haq and Mohammad Hafeez to review the team’s performance in the recently concluded regional tournament. The meeting was presided over by Management Committee Chief Zaka Ashraf.
Following the end of the review, head selector Inzamam-ul-Haq announced the World Cup squad.
