Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has signed an agreement with Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) channel and Pakistan Television (PTV) consortium to broadcast the 2022 and 2023 editions of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) channel and Pakistan Television (PTV) consortium won the highest bid at the aggregated fee of PKR 4,350,786,786 Pakistani rupees.
This year’s bid by Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) channel and Pakistan Television (PTV) was 50% more than the last cycle.
After winning the bid of over PKR 4.3 billion Pakistani rupees, Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) channel and Pakistan Television (PTV) secured the 2-year-long home TV broadcast contract.
It was a robust and transparent bidding process, which was held on 23 December 2021.
Speaking on this occasion in Lahore today, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja provided his utmost congratulations to the Abdul Razzak Yaqoob (ARY) channel, Pakistan Television (PTV) channel, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and the franchises on securing this historic deal.
Moreover, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja also said:
“Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Supreme League (PSL) has become a national identity and it attracts fans towards it. Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Supreme League (PSL) is an unprecedented moment as the price we have gotten for these rights is unmatched.”
Moreover, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja further said that:
“PCB signed ARY and PTV today for PKR4.3 billion and given them the broadcasting rights, that is a testimony to how big of a brand the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Supreme League (PSL) has become and the fact that our national Pakistan Cricket team has been on a roll has also contributed to it.”
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja went on to say that:
“The 7th edition of the Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Supreme League (PSL) 2022 will be played between 27 January 2022 and 27 February 2022 in Karachi, Pakistan, and Lahore, Pakistan.”
