On Friday, January 20, it is expected that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) schedule for its eighth season will be released.
The facts state that the PSL schedule has been decided upon for the forthcoming season. Tomorrow, the PSL franchisees will participate in a final conference with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The event’s official opening ceremony will take place in Multan, under the existing timetable, sources claim. Four locations, including Karachi, Multan, Lahore, and Rawalpindi, will host the competition. The PSL will begin on February 13 and conclude on March 19.
The PSL season eight matches will be held in Quetta, according to a previous announcement by Najam Sethi, the chairman of the PCB executive committee.
“I am delighted that seven years after launching the Pakistan Super League, I am today announcing our commitment to add Bugti Stadium in Quetta as the fifth venue for our marquee event. Bugti Stadium is the home ground of Quetta Gladiators and we still remember the incredible scenes when the Gladiators visited the city after winning the 2019 tournament,” Sethi said in a statement released by the national cricket governing body on December 23.
PCB has chosen to hold an exhibition game between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi on February 5 in Quetta, though.
It should be noted that the selection took place on December 15, while player retention announcements were made on November 11.
