ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has added another Airbus A320, a narrow-body 170-seater aircraft, to its fleet, which would assist the national flag carrier to expand flight operations and improve customer facilities.
In a statement issued on Friday, PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan stated, “The leased Airbus, manufactured four years ago, is one of the four aircraft selected by the PIA management.”
In a few months, he added, the three remaining aircraft will arrive in Pakistan. Khan expressed optimism that the addition of new planes to the PIA’s fleet will enable the national flag carrier to boost scheduled operations while also providing improved air travel facilities for passengers.
