A delegation from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is set to arrive in Karachi for an audit of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on November 26.
This audit is pivotal as it may open the way for PIA to resume flight operations to destinations in Britain and Europe. Alongside the PIA audit, EASA will also conduct a remote safety audit of various departments within the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA).
The results of these audits will determine the airworthiness status of PIA and influence the decision on whether the airline can regain access to European airspace.
