Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced a special discount of 20% for students flying from Pakistan to China, aiming to facilitate student travelers.
Additionally, PIA has enhanced the baggage allowance by up to 60 kilograms, according to an official statement from the national flag carrier.
Currently, PIA operates one weekly flight from China to Pakistan every Sunday, following the Islamabad-Beijing-Islamabad route.
The discount is not limited to students traveling to China for educational purposes but extends to those returning to Pakistan for summer vacations or after completing their academic degrees.
Ali Imran, a Pakistani researcher, expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting the significant number of Pakistani students studying in various cities across China. He noted that PIA’s discount and increased baggage allowance would greatly benefit these students.
This initiative follows PIA’s recent reduction in one-way fares for Umrah pilgrims, residents, and work visa holders of Saudi Arabia. The airline offered a 20% discount for Umrah pilgrims and a 30% discount for residents and work visa holders traveling from Pakistan to Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, and Riyadh. The discount was applicable for a limited period, from April 7 to 11.
PIA continues to introduce measures to cater to the needs of different segments of travelers, aiming to enhance customer satisfaction and convenience.
