After arriving in Toronto, Canada from Lahore, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) steward went missing from a hotel.
According to the PIA management, flight steward Muntazir Mehdi landed in Toronto on Friday aboard the national airline’s flight PK-798 from Lahore.
He and the rest of the crew were staying in a hotel in the Canadian city.
The strange disappearance of the PTI steward was revealed after he failed to report for duty on a flight back to Pakistan. The matter was then brought to the attention of the airline’s management and Canadian immigration authorities.
Before Mehdi, four national airline flight attendants and air hostesses slipped into Canada to apply for citizenship.
An air steward for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) went missing in Canada last year after aircraft PK-798 arrived in Toronto, according to the airline’s authority.
Ramzan Gul, a flight attendant, boarded the national flag carrier’s flight from Islamabad as part of the aircraft crew, according to a PIA official.
According to PIA officials, they also kept the Canadian immigration authority up to date on the situation because the crew member receives clearance under the General Declaration, and if one of them goes missing, the immigration authority must be notified.
