In the opening hours of trading in the inter-bank market on Monday, the Pakistani rupee showed a slight appreciation against the US dollar, marking a gain of 0.05%.
At 10 am, the rupee was trading at 277.78 against the greenback, reflecting a rise of Re0.15.
Continuing its trend from the previous week, the rupee concluded with a minor gain against the US dollar, marking the sixth consecutive week of positive closure.
The local currency appreciated by Re0.02 or 0.007%, closing at 277.93 compared to 277.95 from the previous week’s exchange rate against the US dollar.
