The federal capital’s poor and middle-class residents will receive free wheat flour during Ramadan, according to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement.
The decision was taken during a high-level conference in Islamabad where efforts to protect the lower and middle classes from the negative effects of inflation were discussed.
The use of contemporary technologies, according to the prime minister, will guarantee the transparent distribution of free flour.
He encouraged the governments of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh to join the initiative to help the poor. The prime minister also resolved to lower the cost of fuel for rickshaws and motorbikes.
