The government will deliver free wheat flour to worthy individuals who are immediately enrolled with the BISP, according to a directive from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
He gave the order to NADRA and BISP to set up their counters for registration at flour distribution stations while presiding over a review meeting of the Ramazan Package in Lahore.
According to the prime minister, the government is making every effort to minimize the challenges faced by the poor during Ramadan. He declared that free distribution of wheat flour would continue through Ramadan’s 25th.
The free flour distribution program has continued across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Islamabad Capital Territory, it was announced at the meeting.
It was told that distribution points in Punjab have been established at marriage halls, where people do not face any hassle in getting the commodity while waiting for their turn.
It is important to note that the Prime Minister visited the flour distribution centres in Lahore and Kasur today unexpectedly and expressed his pleasure with the arrangements.
He praised the efforts of all the departments and government employees in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad for their contributions to this programme.
The conference was attended by federal ministers Shazia Marri and Marriyum Aurangzeb, advisor to the prime minister Ahad Cheema, chief minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Naqvi, and other high-ranking officials.
