Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has established the Federal Cabinet Committee to address the PTI’s prolonged march toward Islamabad under the leadership of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah will preside over the nine-person cabinet body. The long march committee was established to uphold law and order and conduct the political discussion.
If anyone was interested in discussion during the prolonged march, the cabinet committee would meet. Our doors are always open for dialogue, according to Prime Minister Sharif.
“We are democrats, prepared for talks, but won’t let any person take the law in his hands,” PM Shehbaz Sharif has said.
The cabinet committee, headed by Rana Sanaullah, comprises PML-N’s Ayaz Sadiq, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Marriyum Aurangzaib, PPP’s Qamar Zaman Kaira, MQM’s Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, ANP’s Mian Iftikhar, and JUI’s Maulana Asad as its members.
It should be noted that the PTI’s long march, led by Imran Khan, began yesterday after Friday prayers in Lahore and continued toward the federal capital city in an effort to press the party’s demand for general elections.
