Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday said to the relevant authorities to introduce a separate visa category for people linked with CPEC projects and remove difficulties for issuing long-term visas to foreign investors, especially Chinese investors.
The premier presided over the review meeting on the progress of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and promotion of investment in the country, in the meeting he directed the Home Ministry to submit a summary to the federal cabinet regarding the provision of all possible incentives to the investors.
The PM claimed that Pakistan and China’s strategic partnership is “exemplary” for the world.
“In order to transform these relations into strong economic ties, it is necessary to promote investment in areas of mutual interest and provide all possible incentives to investors,” the PM said.
The Prime Minister pointed out the importance of CPEC for boosting economic growth in Pakistan and acting as a catalyst for the development of the entire region.
