The Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef has promised that all public welfare projects will be carried out with complete transparency.
He made this statement at a ceremony inaugurating the Blue Line and Green Line Metro Bus Service in Islamabad on Thursday. He went on to say that anyone found negligent in carrying out these projects will be dealt with according to the law.
The Prime Minister stated the commitment to working together to steer the country out of immense challenges. He said Pakistan will reach its development destination.
He was satisfied with the decrease in the prices of petroleum products in the international market and said this will help bring down inflationary pressures currently faced by the people.
A comprehensive plan is in the works to shift tube wells, government buildings, hospitals, schools, buildings and households to solar energy. This would free the nation from expensive electricity currently being produced from oil and gas.
The launch of the new transport service in the federal cabinet is an important step, one which will benefit different segments of society. This service should be kept free for one month, to provide access to as many people as possible. Furthermore, funds will be provided for the signal-free Islamabad expressway from Koral to Rawat.
In his remarks, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that projects worth thirty billion rupees have been envisaged for the federal capital.
He said the groundbreaking of the signal-free Islamabad expressway from Koral to Rawat will be performed after Eidul Azha whilst the coverage of the Islamabad Safe City project will be enhanced from thirty to one hundred per cent during the current fiscal year.
The Interior Minister announced the launch of a new transport service on Thursday that will serve the urban and rural populations of the federal capital. He stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has always placed great importance on improving the quality of life for the average citizen.
The Interior Minister stated that the salary of the Islamabad police has been aligned with that of the Punjab police. In addition, changes to certain rules have been made to allow the FC to act as an anti-riot force to deal with miscreants and anarchists.
The Interior Minister announced that 1.22 billion rupees have been paid out to the families of martyrs and those who died during service.
Earlier, the Chairman CDA briefed the Prime Minister about the blue and green line transport service. He said a command and control centre is also being established to manage the system of the metro and another transport services in the capital.
