Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has emphasized the importance of transparency and efficiency in government welfare programs, highlighting the Ramazan Relief Package 2025 as a model initiative.
Chairing a review meeting, the prime minister noted that financial assistance under the relief package is being transferred through a secure digital wallet system. He urged the adoption of this system for other government schemes to ensure transparency and ease of access for beneficiaries.
He praised the collaborative efforts of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), NADRA, and tech institutions, ensuring that the package reached the people without discrimination, including those in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Officials briefed the meeting on the progress of the initiative, revealing that: 63% of beneficiaries have already received payments.
2,224 employees are deployed for program execution.
Over 1.5 million beneficiaries have been contacted via telephone.
The PM directed a third-party audit of the relief package and stressed the need for an effective awareness campaign by banks and telecom companies.
