The Schools on Wheel project, launched on Tuesday by prime minister Shehbaz Sharif, aims to bring education to children, particularly those living in rural areas, right to their doorsteps.
The project would be a unique addition to efforts to create the nation, the Prime Minister said in remarks on the occasion.
He was sure that by providing hundreds of thousands of rural youngsters there with an education, this program would bring about a revolution.
The Prime Minister ordered that this program’s reach be expanded to include Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir in addition to the four other provinces.
Previously, Rana Tanveer Hussain, the minister of education, gave the prime minister a briefing on the project’s many features and mentioned that the initiative is first being launched with eight buses. He said food will also be provided to the children getting education through these mobile schools.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also interacted with the students and teachers.
