On Twitter, the Prime Minister said, ‘Heartiest congratulations to my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his historic re-election as President, Republic of Turkiye.’
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Prime Minister, is one of the few world leaders whose politics are founded on public service.
He described the Turkish President as a rock of strength for downtrodden Muslims and a passionate advocate for their basic rights.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s presidential victory and the AKP’s legislative victory are significant in many ways, expressing the Turkish people’s trust and confidence in his vibrant leadership.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey will continue to improve.
Meanwhile, in the presidential run-off, Recep Tayyip Erdogan received 52.24 percent of the vote. Kemal Kilicdaroglu, his opponent, received 47.79 percent of the vote.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised his victory to his supporters in Istanbul as a victory for Turkiye and democracy.
His government’s top goal, he said, was the rehabilitation of earthquake victims. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has promised to reduce the country’s inflation.
