Today, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif launched the Spring Tree Plantation Campaign by planting a sapling at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad.
Addressing the gathering, he underscored Pakistan’s ongoing battle against the detrimental effects of climate change, which have resulted in significant financial losses over time. The Prime Minister announced a bold initiative to double the previous tree plantation target, aiming to plant a total of 240 million trees.
He emphasized the need for nationwide efforts, especially within educational institutions, to raise awareness about tree plantation and combat the harmful effects of environmental pollution.
