ISLAMABAD, Aug 31 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met five-year-old Sufiyan Mehsood from Dera Ismail Khan at the PM House on Saturday. Sufiyan recently earned a Guinness World Record, making Pakistan proud at such a young age.
The prime minister praised Sufiyan’s remarkable achievement and stressed the importance of creating opportunities for youth to participate in sports and positive activities. He instructed the Chairman of PM Youth Program, Rana Mashhood, and other relevant authorities to enhance sports facilities for young people across the country.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that promising young individuals like Sufiyan are key to Pakistan’s bright future. He added that Pakistani youth continue to make the country proud in various fields, including sports.
During the meeting, Sufiyan expressed his desire to make Pakistan even prouder by becoming a scientist in the future. The prime minister, conversing with Sufiyan in Pashto, acknowledged his aspirations and encouraged him.
Sufiyan’s father, Irfan Mehsood, who holds more than 100 Guinness World Records and runs a martial arts academy in Dera Ismail Khan, also met with the prime minister. Irfan Mehsood shared details of his academy’s achievements and the athletes it has trained. In response, the prime minister directed the PM Youth Program to collaborate with Irfan Mehsood’s sports academy and promote sports nationwide.
The meeting was also attended by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, Minister of State for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Chairman PM Youth Program Rana Mashhood, and PM’s Coordinator for Climate Change, Rumina Khursheed Alam.
