Days after Azam Nazeer Tarar’s resignation, who gave personal reasons for his resignation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed senior PML-N politician Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to oversee the Ministry of Law and Justice on Monday.
In addition to his responsibilities as minister of economic affairs, Sadiq has been assigned the portfolio of law and justice, according to the announcement made by the Cabinet Division.
Before tendering his resignation, Tarar expressed his objections in a tweet, which PM Shehbaz then used to name Ayaz Sadiq as the next law minister.
The former law minister wrote on Twitter, “I am disappointed that a small group of persons raised slogans against state institutions during the Asma Jahangir conference.
He said that the individuals engaged in emotional sloganeering had forgotten about the struggles and sacrifices of state institutions and government measures. “Everyone here wants Pakistan to be robust and vigorous,” he added.
“I have the great honor and privilege to serve my country as the federal minister for law and justice under the capable leadership of Mian Mohammed Shehbaz Shareef,” Tarar wrote in his resignation letter to President Dr. Arif Alvi on October 24.
But he said, “I am unable to carry out my responsibilities as the federal minister owing to personal considerations.
