Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister, has stated that the assembly will be dissolved on August 9.
According to reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif hosted the member of parliament’s farewell dinner.
PM Shehbaz stated that consultations will be made with coalition parties, and the name of the caretaker prime minister will be finalised in collaboration with the opposition leader.
He said that the PDM came to office at a difficult moment when the country was on the verge of default, but that despite widespread criticism, the government saved Pakistan within 15 months.
PM Shehbaz slammed the PTI chairman, saying the former prime minister had harmed institutions and that the PDM government had to deal with the mess they had caused.
Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister, has stated that the upcoming general elections will be conducted in 2023.
He stated that the government’s term would end on August 12 and that a committee for the caretaker setup had already been constituted. Nawaz Sharif is also being consulted, and opposition leader Raja Riaz will be consulted after the name is finalised.
PM Shehbaz stated that following consultation and determination by the leadership, his party may seek seat adjustment with coalition parties in specific constituencies.
