Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will travel to the United Kingdom on May 6 to attend King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla’s coronation.
He would attend a Commonwealth leaders’ event in London, Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch announced during the weekly press conference.
“He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with leaders who will be participating in these celebrations,” she added.
“Pakistan and the UK shared a long history of relations that were strongly anchored in the dynamic Pakistani-British community,” she continued.

The spokesperson further stated that Pakistan regards the British monarch and the royal family as friends of Pakistan and its people and that the two countries look forward to further developing ties.

PM Shehbaz recently visited the UK on September 19, when he met with King Charles III to express his condolences over Queen Elizabeth’s death.
