Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Honor Pakistan Hockey Team for Azlan Shah Cup Performance
Today, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to host the Pakistan hockey team to commend their outstanding performance in the recent Azlan Shah Cup. The premier aims to uplift the morale of the hockey players and will personally present prizes to the team.
The event is expected to be attended by notable figures including Rana Mashhood and renowned hockey legends.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz had rewarded the hockey team with Rs30 million for their achievements.
Despite a hard-fought match, Pakistan narrowly missed victory in the final against Japan, with the match ultimately decided in a penalty shootout.
This marked a significant milestone for the Green Shirts, as it was their first appearance in the Azlan Shah Cup final in 13 years.
