According to sources, the coalition partners in the center – Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) – have apparently agreed on a “charter of the economy” to steer the cash-strapped country out of the crisis.
Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N’s senior leader, and PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto are in Dubai to discuss the election and other political and economic matters. The top leaders of the PML-N and the PPP met in Dubai on Monday to discuss the schedule of the country’s next general elections and “their share” of the future setup.
Moreover, they say no breakthrough was reached between PPP and PML-N leaders over the election alliance for the 2023 general elections, adding that the caretaker up would be finalized by taking other allied parties in confidence.

It is interesting to note that the two sides have been at differences about the timing of the next general election following the dissolution of the assembly in August.
Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have been in Dubai for additional discussions with Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N officials. More PML-N and PPP leaders are scheduled to arrive in Dubai to participate in the talks, according to sources.
It is worth noting that both Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and previous President Asif Ali Zardari have often emphasized the necessity for a “Charter of Economy” and have sought to formulate long-term plans to strengthen the country’s economy.
