Islamabad police on Tuesday released Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, who was arrested in connection with the violation of the No Objection Certificate (NOC) during the Sangjani power show.
The case registered against Khan at the Sangjani police station has been discharged, according to officials.
Earlier, several prominent PTI leaders were arrested for violating standard operating procedures (SOPs) during a rally in the Sangjani area of Islamabad, which exceeded the allocated time limit.
The arrests occurred late Monday night, targeting key figures such as Barrister Gohar, Sher Afzal Marwat, Shoaib Shaheen, Zain Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, and 12 other PTI members.
Marwat was detained while leaving a National Assembly session, while Shoaib Shaheen was arrested from his residence. Barrister Gohar Ali Khan was apprehended outside the Parliament House in a coordinated operation.
