Around the nation, preparations are being made to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence Day on August 14 in a befitting manner.
The independence day will begin with special prayers and a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and a 21-gun salute in all provincial capitals, according to state-owned Radio Pakistan. At dawn, special prayers will be said at mosques for the nation’s peace, unity, and prosperity.
The focus of special events and activities organized by various governmental and private departments will be on honoring the contributions of Pakistan Movement leaders and the sacrifices of national heroes.
Bunting, lights, and national flags are used to decorate buildings. People have displayed national flags on their vehicles and rooftop of their houses.
Aside from that, shops all around the nation have set up stalls selling the national flag, buntings, caps, and children’s clothing that are covered in green and white.
On this day, Radio Pakistan and Pakistan Television will pay respect to the heroes of the Pakistan Movement and highlight their contributions to making Pakistan a reality.
The re-recorded national anthem will also be launched by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the flag-raising event on August 14.
