President Alvi Says Pakistan fully committed to high-quality development of CPEC

President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized Pakistan’s unwavering dedication to the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). During a meeting with Vice Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Sun Weidong, in Islamabad, President Alvi expressed that Chinese support in the upcoming phase of CPEC holds great significance for Pakistan’s industrial progress.

Highlighting the importance of economic cooperation, President Alvi stressed that it would further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two friendly nations. He commended China’s support in stabilizing Pakistan’s economy, acknowledging China as a steadfast friend that has consistently stood by Pakistan in challenging times.

President Alvi underscored the positive impact of CPEC projects on Pakistan’s economic development and their role in addressing the country’s energy requirements. He expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to learn from Chinese experiences in various sectors, including IT, education, health, agriculture, and poverty alleviation, for socio-economic advancement.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to supporting China on key issues, President Alvi affirmed solidarity on matters such as the ‘One China’ Policy, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang, and the South China Sea. He expressed gratitude to China for its support in Pakistan’s national development and its principled stance on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

The visiting Vice Foreign Minister of China highlighted the longstanding history of friendly relations between Pakistan and China, anticipating continued growth in their strength. He praised the fruitful results of CPEC and emphasized the vast potential for increased cooperation in various fields between the two nations.
