On Wednesday, President Dr. Arif Alvi spoke at a seminar in Karachi, calling for the streamlining of Pakistan’s banking and insurance sectors to benefit the economy.
He stressed the importance of following the constitution and the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to steer the country toward progress and strengthen democracy.
Dr. Arif Alvi also expressed concern over the impact of increased imports on Pakistan’s balance of payments and urged a greater focus on boosting exports. He highlighted the role of both the banking and insurance sectors in the flow of money and urged the need for crop insurance to better compensate for losses in the agricultural sector due to natural disasters.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of educating and developing human resources potential to fully utilize the country’s skills.
