The Pakistan Blind Cricket team members had the honor of meeting President Dr. Arif Alvi on Monday, where he commended their accomplishments that have brought pride to Pakistan and showcased the capabilities of differently-abled individuals on a global platform.
Gathering at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, President Alvi expressed his admiration for the team’s efforts in tournaments, noting their inspiring impact on fellow blind cricketers. He highlighted the significant progress and recognition that blind cricket has gained in Pakistan in recent years, crediting the Pakistan Blind Cricket Board for its active role in organizing and promoting the sport.
Emphasizing the need to support and uplift the blind cricket team, President Alvi also underscored the importance of recognizing the remarkable contributions of the players in highlighting the team’s efforts and successes.
During the meeting, the team management provided a briefing on the team’s performance, while the players expressed gratitude to President Alvi and First Lady Samina Alvi for their continuous support and encouragement. First Lady Samina Alvi was also present, adding her appreciation to the acknowledgment of the team’s dedication and achievements.
