On the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is traveling to Riyadh on Monday.
The Prime Minister would meet with the Saudi Crown Prince on his visit to Riyadh to assess their long-standing relationship and discuss ways to further expand their many areas of cooperation, particularly in the economy.
The Saudi Future Investment Initiative Summit will also be attended by the prime minister. According to sources, the Crown Prince MBS is also scheduled to visit Pakistan in the upcoming month.
Pakistan expressed support for the Saudi government in response to criticism of the Kingdom made in the wake of the Organization of Oil Exporting Countries (OPEC+) decision.
The Foreign Office issued a statement saying, “We acknowledge the concerns of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for avoiding market instability and safeguarding global economic stability.”
“Pakistan advocates a constructive approach on such challenges based on interaction and mutual respect,” the statement continued.
