The Pakistan state oil restored the fuel supply to Pakistan International Airline. The oil supply is restored after paying Rs.20 million outstanding dues according to the source.
According to reports, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) has resumed fuel supply to critical routes for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights following a payment of Rs20 million to cover outstanding daily dues.
Earlier, PIA flights had been canceled due to PSO suspending fuel supply over unpaid dues. This suspension was a result of PIA’s failure to settle its outstanding financial obligations.
Flights affected by this suspension included routes like Karachi to Lahore (PK 306), Karachi to Peshawar (PK 350), Karachi to Gwadar, Karachi to Islamabad (PK 370), Karachi to Quetta (PK 310), Karachi to Bahawalpur (PK 588), and Karachi to Rahim Yar Khan.
In a recent high-level meeting chaired by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, various issues related to PIA were discussed. During the meeting, it was revealed that PIA is currently incurring daily financial losses of approximately Rs400 million.
