According to Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Asad Umar, up to 44 PTI MNAs have decided to restore their resignations.
According to Asad Umar’s tweet, the PTI has been pressing the NA speaker to accept each resignation individually even though Mr. Ashraf had previously said he would do so after meeting with the lawmakers.
The opposition’s new head, Raja Riaz, would be chosen once an email to the NA speaker was issued, according to the PTI leader.
It should be mentioned that Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, the speaker of the National Assembly, accepted the resignations of 35 additional Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs last week.
The federal government made a resolution to accept their resignations upon the announcement of PTI MNAs’ return to the National Assembly in an apparent effort to lessen the number of opposition MPs.
