Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has put forward former minister Omar Ayub as its nominee for the prime ministerial position. This announcement was made by former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser during a media interaction outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, where he met with PTI Founder Imran Khan.
Expressing optimism about PTI’s prospects, Asad Qaiser expressed hope that the next prime minister would hail from their party, emphasizing that the PTI’s mandate was allegedly stolen during the recent elections.
In addition, Asad Qaiser revealed plans for a nationwide protest movement, the details of which would be disclosed later in the evening. He stated that rallies and protests would be organized across the country as part of this movement.
Asserting his intention to engage with various political parties, Asad Qaiser mentioned reaching out to Maulana Fazlur Rahman, ANP, Qaumi Watan Party, and others who were also voicing dissent.
Regarding the February 8 election, the PTI leader criticized it as the worst in the country’s history, alleging a lack of international acceptance for the poll results. He affirmed his commitment to coordinating with different political entities to address the perceived issues with the electoral process.
