Former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deputy chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrested at his apartment in Islamabad.
According to sources, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was arrested and transferred to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters in connection with the Cypher case.
Earlier today, the PTI leader denied claims of disagreements in the core committee, claiming that a media organisation is spreading rumours about the committee.
He stated that the PTI chairman has no substitute in the party, but that he will be released from prison shortly.
Earlier, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former federal minister Asad Umar were summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Counter Terrorism in a cypher case.
